Cheesy as it may sound, 13 years ago this Saturday, I got the most very wonderful present any 16-year-old girl has ever received in the history of time: my very own nephew! Thanks, Amy and Chris!

My locker was always lined with new pictures of this kid. We were inseparable buddies until I went away to college, to what he called "Cowboyfornia." Now my mom and dad are bringing my teenage nephew out to celebrate his birthday! I really can't believe it. I'm probably going to cry the whole visit and embarrass him everywhere we go. If you don't hear from me for a little while, that's what I'm busy doing.
