Almond-Crusted French Toast

This is more of an idea than a recipe. I once read a "recipe" for a ham sandwich in a cookbook, and ever since, I'm kind of sensitive about use of the term. "Ham sandwich" really falls more under the category of "suggestion" or "something to consider."

I got some almond meal in one of my food boxes, so I mixed it with cinnamon and dredged french toast in it just before frying. It was delicious. You can and should do this with any kind of crushed or finely chopped nut you have around. Fred 62 does it with cornflakes.
