Seven more cookbooks are en route to new homes today. They're great cookbooks, too. They're just not ones I ever open, either because I've learned what I can from them, or because I have more convenient access to the same recipes elsewhere. The idea of having a cookbook collection used to appeal to me, but as you've probably guessed, the word "collection" itself now gives me anxiety. I don't want to amass a pile of anything just for the sake of doing so. Looking at the shelves and shelves of cookbooks I used to have never made me happy. It made me feel overburdened and wasteful. Out!
