Frameable Catalog Pages (Currently Available)

Did anyone else notice that the current Paper Source catalog cover is downright frameable?

How cute would a square of this be in a kitchen, or in a bathroom? Say, next to a jar of bath bombs or bubbleroons? Of course, you could always pay for a sheet of the decorative paper like a law-abiding citizen, too. How cute would it be in the nook next to this stuff in my bathroom???

We're about to redo the bathroom in deep blue and white with accents in the goldish/brassish color range. We'll see how it all goes together.

AND, coincidentally, Crate and Barrel's current catalog devotes a whole page (pg. 36) to Pop Chart Lab's "The Very Many Varieties of Beer," which is perfectly frameable for a kitchen or bar. Buy the legit version here.

I love this chart very much because it leads you very easily to New Belgium Fat Tire and Bear Republic Racer 5, which are probably my two favorites, if I really had to decide.

Purge of the Day: Yarnstuffs

I was honest with myself about which things I was never going to use again, and those things have gone away.

My ass-kicking, name-taking friend Ali and I took a knitting class a couple years ago, during which we had to begin making a dishrag out of Sugar 'N' Cream yarn. Neither of us wanted a dishrag and we both hated working with the Sugar 'N' Cream. (It's similar in texture to string and doesn't pass over itself easily the way some other yarns do, which makes knitting with it more strenuous on the hands and wrists.) So, as of yesterday, I still had half a dishrag attached to one of my needles.

In the spirit of purging, I decided to cast my unwanted half-rag off the needle and repurpose it... into a sweater for my pencil cup!

Those pens and pencils are going to be so toasty for me when I stop procrastinating!
